A luxury agriturismo in Le Marche

Le Marche is situated between mountains and the Adriatic Sea. Another region in Italy with a distinct character, with lots of beautiful nature and authentic small towns and villages to be discovered. Is this a place where you’d like to enjoy your holiday? I – Margot – have selected for you the prettiest agriturismos of Le Marche. Quality, atmosphere and hospitality guaranteed. Because I’ve visited and selected these luxury agriturismos personally.

The map above presents all my agriturismos in Le Marche. As I only selected the most beautiful agriturismos, they quickly get booked up. So don’t delay!

Gentle hills, lovely beaches

Le Marche is the source of a lot of agricultural products. It is characterized by rolling hills, fields of crops, vineyards, olive groves and sunflower fields. The region resembles Tuscany, in many ways. In the west it is bordered by high mountain ranges. Right into the spring, their tops are snow-tipped. It is remote and quiet here, and you won’t find any mass tourism. On the other side is the Adriatic Coast. The 180-kilometre-long coastline has lovely sand and pebble beaches. A remarkably beautiful place is Parco del Monte Conero: a small nature park with romantic beaches, an azure sea, and forests.

Ancient towns in Le Marche

The region has many ancient towns and villages to explore. From Urbino in the north to Ascoli Piceno in the south − a favourite of mine. Fano, Macerata, Corinaldo and Fermo are well-worth mentioning too. Another interesting historic town is Loreto, a famous pilgrimage site. Settle down on a terrace and enjoy the local dishes. Well-known wines of this region are the Verdicchio and the Rosso Piceno. Tip: Order some Olive All’Ascolana to go with it: stuffed olives from Ascoli Piceno.

The most enchanting agriturismos for you

You’ve set your mind on a holiday in Le Marche? I have preselected the finest agriturismos in the region for you. An agriturismo is a farming business that offers comfortable vacation accommodation. You will be staying in a renovated apartment, a luxurious villa or a bed & breakfast. Most of the agriturismos in this region are just a short drive away from the coast, some are further inland. They usually have a swimming pool, some have a restaurant − serving delicious local dishes − or they may have both. Whichever agriturismo you choose, you will be staying in the countryside, surrounded by luxuriant nature.

A child-friendly agriturismo in Le Marche (WITH swimming pool!)

Are you planning for a family holiday with kids? Then have a look at our child-friendly agriturismos. They offer lots of space for fun play and discovery. A swimming pool (sometimes with children’s pool) a garden, and sometimes a playground with a small sports field. Do your children love animals? Some of the agriturismos keep livestock.

Beach at Grottammare and Beach Club Noa

The beach of Grottammare, on the Adriatic coast in Marche, is a hidden gem. This charming town offers wide sandy beaches with fine, golden sand and calm, clear blue waters. The cozy promenade, surrounded by palm trees, has a relaxed and Mediterranean atmosphere. I visit the Marche regularly and love going to Beach Club Noa. During the day it is great to relax on the comfortable sunbeds, enjoying the sun and the view of the sea. But my favorite time is still the evening. Noa's cuisine is excellent, with fresh fish dishes that go perfectly with a glass of cool Verdicchio, the local white wine.

Riviera del Conero, Marche

The Riviera del Conero, located on the Adriatic coast in the Marche region, is a must-see as far as I am concerned. This area combines rugged nature, pearly white beaches with crystal clear waters and picturesque bays. An absolute recommendation is Spiaggia delle Due Sorelle, an idyllic bay accessible only by boat or via challenging hiking trails. For a slightly more accessible experience, visit Spiaggia di San Michele or Sassi Neri, where you can enjoy a relaxing day of sunbathing, swimming and snorkeling. There are plenty of beach bars and lidos along the coast where you can enjoy fresh (fish) dishes and local wine.

The castle of Gradara

The castle of Gradara is located on the border between Marche and Emilia Romagna, near Pesaro, is easily accessible and has plenty of parking. A magical place to visit, even with children, who will experience the atmosphere of a real ancient castle. Both you and the children will be fascinated by the fully furnished rooms and the untouched atmosphere. You can walk through the castle by yourself but it is also possible to take a guided tour. I recommend this because of the many interesting details told. In summer there are also many activities such as historical parades or animated stories on fixed dates.

The Eldorado Park

Near the Monti Sibillini Park, in the middle of unspoiled nature, there is the 30,000-square-meter Eldorado Water Park. At the Eldorado Park there is a little bit of everything: the Big Twins, the longest slides in Europe with a motorized drag elevator, a fantastic lagoon, giant swimming pools, a 24-seat whirlpool with heated water and an 8-meter-high water jet with colored lights. Eldorado Park also has relax areas, a children's play area, various facilities and events and a bar area. A must for the summer!

The Hort Labyrinth of Senigallia

The Hort Labyrinth was created in 2012 as a play-educational project, ideal for a fun excursion with the children. It is a corn maze, within walking distance of the historic center, with an area of 60,000 square meters and about 4 km long! Every year it comes to life during the summer months: being a corn field, it literally comes to life in mid-July thanks to the natural development of the plants. While visiting the Labyrinth of Hort, you can simply wander around and find your way, or you can participate in activities such as the Treasure Hunt or the Escape Room.

The caves of Frasassi

Located in the Regional Natural Park Gola della Rossa, near Ancona, the Frasassi Caves are considered one of Italy's most fascinating sights and are without a doubt the largest underground cave complex in Europe. In fact, these caves are so large that they could easily contain the entire Milan Cathedral. In these caves you will discover amazing natural sculptures that can reach 200 meters in height. You will find both stalactites (columns coming down from the ceiling of the cavities) and stalagmites (growing upward from the bottom). You can choose from three different types of routes, depending on difficulty and duration. The tourist route is the easiest and most accessible route for everyone, even very young children.
