Panoramic situated and very charming agriturismo
I don't know what it is, but I have a thing for Italian country houses with light blue shutters. You do not see them that often, so that's why this agriturismo particularly appealed to me. Beautifully situated on a hill with 360 degree breathtaking views over the Tuscan hills. The agriturismo is an ideal base for trips to Siena, Arezzo, Cortona, Lake Trasimeno, Assisi, Montepulciano, Pienza and more.
I had not made an appointment, but I was immediately welcomed by the friendly owner. She invited me for coffee in the breakfast room and the rich buffet with homemade cake looked tempting to me. She told me that on request, in the evening she cooks for the guests. The restaurant is open only to guests of the agriturismo. Homemade Focaccia, artisanal cheese, sun-ripened tomatoes, all ingredients obviously fresh and local (kilometer zero). Also the wine and olive oil she gets from neighbors. In short, enjoy the local Tuscan cuisine cooked by "mamma"! In summer you eat al fresco out on the veranda.
Garden, swimming pool & dinner
In everything you see that things are being done with great attention to detail and passion at this agriturismo. Walking to the apartments I noticed how well the garden is maintained. Everywhere flowers, lavender, herbal plants and jasmine which blooms in June and then spreads a delicious sweet fragrance. From the pool with sunbeds you have magnificent views of the surrounding hills. The whole agriturismo exudes an atmosphere of peace and relaxation and it would be strange if you can not forget the worries of everyday life here.
Apartments and rooms
The agriturismo has 2 large and 3 small complete and attractively furnished apartments on the ground floor and as the crown jewel a detached cottage for 5 persons. The large apartments and the cottage have a private covered patio with lots of privacy. The small apartments have a cozy terrace with table and chairs, separated by a hedge of beautiful jasmine. The agriturismo has four elegant rooms and a suite, on the first floor of the country house. The rooms and the suite are colorful and very attractively furnished and equipped with fridge, wifi, telephone and satellite TV.
