Child-friendly agriturismo in the hills of le Marche

This agriturismo is an old, renovated wine farm, you will therefore be staying in the middle of vineyards. It is situated beautifully on a hill, from which the views are stunning. The agriturismo is situated on the edge of a small village, into which you can take nice walks. To the family’s restaurant, for instance, where they serve mostly local dishes and their own wines. Don’t miss out on their Olive Ascolane (stuffed fried olives), freshly prepared daily by the proprietor’s mother herself! His father mostly tends to the vineyards and the agriturismo’s vegetable garden, and the proprietor’s wife assists in receiving the guests. In short, a real Italian family business where you are sure to receive a warm welcome.

Fans of lovely authentic villages can get their heart’s fill here, and also the little town Ascoli Piceno is a gem. It has a lively square with many terraces, and lots of little streets with shops, bars and restaurants. Within 20 minutes, you are in the mountains of I Sibillini National Park, and a 20-minute drive in the opposite direction takes you to the beach. My favourite seaside town is Grottammare, where it’s great dining (or having lunch) at beach-bar Noa.

Swimming pool & wine tasting

The agriturismo has a fenced swimming pool with separate hydro massage section. There is a children’s pool as well. From your sun lounger, you have a great view of the hills of Le Marche. The agriturismo consists of two renovated country houses with the garden and swimming pool in between. There is a BBQ, a boule pitch, and a small playground. The agriturismo does not serve breakfast, but upon arrival you will find some lovely products in your apartment, with which you can make a nice breakfast. In high season, a tasting is organized once a week, where you can taste the wines of the agriturismo, for instance, and taste local delicacies from le Marche. 

Apartments 

In total, there are 12 apartments divided over the two country houses, both on ground floor level and on the first floor. The ground floor apartments have their own seats on the joint veranda, and those on the first floor nearly all have a balcony with a view of the vineyards, fields, and olive trees. Very conveniently, every bedroom has its own bathroom, so a two-bedroom apartment has two bathrooms. The larger apartments have a dishwasher. All apartments have satellite TV, wifi and air conditioning.

This agriturismo is perfect if you want to spend time in the quiet hills, not far from the beach and fun villages nearby. You will enjoy the proprietor’s hospitality, and be given the opportunity to taste the local specialities of Le Marche.
